A survey of veterinary professionals in the U.S., U.K., Spain, and Italy has revealed insights about staffing and work conditions, client demand and loyalty, practice profitability, technology, and more.

Some key takeaways from Provet Cloud’s 2025 Veterinary Insights Report include:

  • Two-thirds of practices struggle to keep clients, with client loyalty shifting based on clinic pricing.
  • Veterinary professionals in the U.S. and Italy report the highest levels of job satisfaction at 74% and 73% respectively, while only about half of the professionals in Spain and the U.K. say they are satisfied with their jobs.
  • While most report an increased demand in services over the past year, 56% of privately owned practices and 44% of corporate practices report declining profitability.
  • More than half of the respondents believe that advanced technology can improve patient care and practice efficiency.

The 600 professionals surveyed — 300 from the U.S. and 100 from each of the other countries — included veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and other practice decision-makers.
