What is SyncVet?
Vetsource’s secure data integration tool, SyncVet, is the “data highway” that safely allows veterinary business services, including client communication, online appointment scheduling, automated marketing, insurance claims, and more, to run smoothly. With practice permission, SyncVet organizes a copy of practice data in external databases and securely shares that data with only approved service providers to power select services.
SyncVet: A two-way street
SyncVet has the ability to read and write data.
That means SyncVet can pull data from veterinary practice information management software (PIMS), and also record specific data back into the PIMS.

The benefits of SyncVet
SyncVet is a turn-key solution. Vetsource works with each practice to install and configure the platform, and maintains the connection and monitors and troubleshoots all connectivity and data quality issues.
Data is provided in a standardized, 'PIMS-agnostic' structure, allowing you to focus on delivering your services without having to struggle with the nuances of data from different PIMS.
SyncVet updates the full PIMS datasets nightly, but provides the ability to pull only the changes since any given date and time.
In addition to read access to the full databases updated nightly, SyncVet provides select real-time read access (e.g., appointment calendar and new/updated clients and patients), as well as targeted write-back capabilities (e.g., prescription records, new appointments, appointment confirmations).
Updates for the SyncVet tool installed on practice servers are deployed automatically and silently, without any performance impact on the practice’s computer or network, similar to automatic updates performed by Microsoft and Apple.
All data exchanges and connectivity between SyncVet servers and data consumers are secured and encrypted.
