A new report from BCC Pulse(opens in new tab) explores the impact of AI on veterinary medical devices, from practice management software and clinical documentation to diagnostic imaging.

Among the key findings:

  • AI-powered diagnostic imaging is the highest-impact clinical application, providing faster and more accurate radiology interpretation.
  • Increased efficiency and saved time are driving the usage of AI scribe and clinical documentation tools.
  • The preventative care landscape is changing with the emergence of consumer-facing and remote monitoring technologies.

The report notes that the increase of AI-enhanced tools is a direct response to the structural pressures faced by the veterinary sector, with solutions focused on diagnostic accuracy, continuous health monitoring, and workflow automation.
