Revenue was up this past week at 5.8% year over year, higher than the week prior. Visits were down at -1.8% year over year this past week, slightly higher than the week before.
Heartworm protection dispensed is essentially flat, while flea/tick protection dispensed is up at 2.3%.* Revenue from services was up at 6.5%, higher than the week before, and revenue from products was up at 4.5%, higher than the preceding week.
*You may notice a change in today’s number from historically reported numbers. Parasiticides dispensed were not reported in the newsletter for the last two weeks after identifying a discrepancy in how doses were being displayed in the data. The discrepancy has been corrected.

The rolling 14-day trendline shows revenue and visits growth year over year trending slightly higher in 2023 than 2022. Growth appears to have peaked in Q1 and may be heading back to previous 2022 levels.

Maine continues holding steady for year-over-year revenue growth on average for the past 12 months, with 9.6% growth, followed by Tennessee at 9.2% and Wisconsin at 8.8%.
