Veterinary practices began August with fairly average performance last week. Year-over-year growth was at 3.3% for revenue and -4% for visits. Revenue from professional services again carried most of that growth in revenue, at nearly 5% year-over-year growth. Revenue growth was at 3.3% this past week while visits continue to lag behind and were down -4% year-over-year this past week. Both metrics are higher than what we saw the week prior.

Heartworm and flea/tick protection dispensed were down again this past week, while revenue from services was up nearly 5% and revenue from products was essentially flat. Compared to the week prior, all metrics are up.

The rolling 14-day trendline for revenue and visits growth year-over-year saw a decline in January 2022. This rebounded in February but then declined again and appears to be settling in at a lower rate than what we saw in 2021. We saw an uptick in early July that has already started to level back out.
