Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!
This week, October 12-18, 2025, the industry is celebrating veterinary technicians and everything they do for their colleagues, clients, and patients.
According to the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA), this year’s theme is “Paths to Success: Shining a Light on Credentialed Veterinary Technician Stars.” The theme aims to highlight the unique journeys of credentialed veterinary technicians (CrVTs) and their mentors, educators, and colleagues who help guide their way.
One of the most effective ways to support and retain CrVTs is to ensure they’re utilized to the fullest extent allowed by state law. When technicians are empowered to use their full range of skills — and are appropriately compensated to do so — it not only improves practice efficiency and team morale, but also enhances patient care and client satisfaction.
For practice leaders who think they have room to grow when it comes to technician utilization, the free VetPartners Veterinary Team Utilization Guide includes a useful Veterinary Technician Utilization Skills Assessment to help align key stakeholders in the practice.
Here’s to all of the veterinary technicians out there. Thank you for all you do!
