Veterinary industry year-over-year revenue was down -2.8% last week, a drop from the previous week’s -0.8%. Visits also fell, coming in at -8.3% year over year compared to -5.4% the week prior.

Year-over-year parasiticide purchases saw further declines last week. Heartworm fell from -11.8% the previous week to -16.4% last week, while flea/tick dropped from -13.6% to -20.3% during the same time. Revenue from services was -1.0% year over year, while revenue from products was -9.1%, changes from the previous week’s respective 0.6% and -5.7%.

Three states again saw positive growth in year-over-year visits last week: Oregon (0.6%), Colorado (0.3%), and Michigan (0.2%). Massachusetts enjoyed the highest year-over-year revenue growth at 6.4%, with Colorado following closely behind at 6.3%.
